How to get to Pärnu?

Arriving by ferry from Sweden or Finland to Tallinn
Most ferries and catamarans arrive in the Harbour of Tallinn  (Reisisadam), terminals A, B, D and C. Left Luggage and a helpful tourist information booth can be found in the main hall of terminals.  ATMs are just as easy to find.

Getting to the Tallinn Coach Station:
A taxi fare from the harbour to the Coach Station is roughly 10 EUR.

Arriving by plane to Tallinn
The Lennart Meri International Airport of Tallinn is located appr. 4 kms from the downtown of Tallinn.  ATMs and currency exchange are located in the centre of the hall, and car rental offices are downstairs.

Getting to the Coach Station is easy - the distance is only 1,5 km.
A taxi from the airport should cover the short ride to Coach Station for 6 - 7 EUR.

The second option is to arrive in Riga Airport (Latvia) and take a coach to Pärnu, tickets are appr. 12 - 20 EUR.


Getting to Pärnu by bus
The Tallinn Coach Station (Tallinna Bussijaam).

There are departures from Tallinn to Pärnu every hour.
Tickets are available inside the station or from the driver. (The ticket-holders get in the bus first.) On Fridays and Sundays buses to popular weekend destinations, like Pärnu tend to fill up quickly, so buying your ticket earlier from the station will guarantee a spot.

All Pärnu-bound busses leave from platform 13 or 10, and the ticket cost appr. 8-11 EUR.


Arriving in Pärnu
More than 20 express buses leave Tallinn for Pärnu daily between 06:25 and 23:00, and buses stop here daily on their route from/to Riga. The bus station is located in the centre of the town, at the corner of Pikk and Ringi streets; the station house is behind the terminal, at Ringi 3.

A taxi from the bus station should cover the short ride to Film Festival office which is located in the Museum of New Art (Uue Kunsti Muuseum, Esplanaadi Str 10) for 5 EUR. Or you can take 10 minutes walk through Rüütli and Nikolai street. Or, if You let us know the exact time of Your arrival to Pärnu, we can pick you up at the bus station.
